There’s something truly special about an Acadian wedding; the combination of beautiful Maritime scenery, close-knit family traditions, heartfelt moments, and certainly plenty of celebration. Spencer and Kimberly’s wedding day at Deux Rivières in Tracadie-Sheila, New Brunswick, was a perfect reflection of all those things.
Set along the water, Deux Rivières provided a stunning backdrop for their celebration. The day was windy, but the sun was shining beneath beautiful blue skies, creating that unmistakable coastal New Brunswick atmosphere. The breeze added a little movement and energy to the day while the sunshine made everything feel bright and joyful.
One of my favourite moments of Spencer and Kimberly’s Acadian wedding was their first look. The couple met in a charming gazebo overlooking the water, creating a beautiful and intimate setting for such an emotional moment.
Away from the excitement of the rest of the wedding day, they had a few quiet moments together before the ceremony. With the water stretching out behind them and the blue sky overhead, it was the perfect place for Spencer and Kimberly to see each other for the first time.
The wind gently moved through the scenery as they shared those first moments together; a beautiful reminder that sometimes the simplest moments become some of the most memorable photographs.
Their ceremony was especially meaningful, because it incorporated both French and English. Spencer and Kimberly exchanged their vows bilingually, making the ceremony personal and inclusive for everyone who came to celebrate with them.
There was something incredibly special about hearing their love and commitment expressed in both languages. It was a beautiful reflection of Acadian culture and the couple’s connection to their families, their community, and each other.
The couple chose burgundy as their wedding colour, adding a rich and romantic touch to the day. The deep tones complemented the venue beautifully and brought warmth and elegance to their wedding photographs.
From the smallest details to the larger moments of the day, everything came together to create a celebration that felt both elegant and authentically theirs.
Afterwards, it was time to celebrate—and this group certainly knew how to have fun!
The evening turned into a fun-filled dance party, with friends and family filling the dance floor and celebrating Spencer and Kimberly well into the night. The energy was contagious, and it was the perfect way to finish a beautiful wedding day.
As a wedding photographer, these are some of my favourite moments to capture: the laughter, the spontaneous dancing, the big smiles, and all those little interactions between the people who mean the most to the couple.
Spencer and Kimberly’s wedding at Deux Rivières was a beautiful Acadian wedding in Tracadie-Sheila, New Brunswick, filled with meaningful traditions, bilingual vows, coastal scenery, and an unforgettable celebration surrounded by the people they love.
