There’s something truly special about a waterfront wedding, especially when the day is as perfect as this one. On a sunny summer afternoon in Bathurst, New Brunswick, I had the incredible honour of photographing Kate & Nathan’s wedding – a day filled with sunshine, laughter, light blue and white details, and a whole lot of love.
The ceremony took place right along the shimmering shores of the Bay of Chaleur in the couple’s backyard, a stunning location for a waterfront wedding. With the water glistening in the background and the sound of gentle waves setting the tone, it felt like something out of a romantic film.
The bridesmaids wore elegant light blue dresses in varying styles and the groomsmen sported dark blue suits creating a clean and timeless look. The bride was absolutely radiant in a flowing white gown that caught the sunlight beautifully as she walked down the aisle.
We took full advantage of the waterfront views for couple’s portraits and were even treated to a spectacular sunset.
The celebration continued at 13 Barrels Brewing, the local brewery owned and run by the bride’s parents. It was an ideal venue for the couple’s unique and relaxed reception after their waterfront wedding. Inside the brewery, tables were decorated beautifully in tones of light blue and white. Guests enjoyed the local brews, delicious food and the heartfelt speeches. While the couple did not do a traditional first dance, they did clear the floor later in the evening so everyone could enjoy the live band.
Kate & Nathan’s waterfront wedding was everything a wedding photographer could hope for – gorgeous light, a stunning setting and a couple whose love for each other radiated in every moment. From the ceremony to the reception, every detail felt personal and heartfelt.
Congratulations again to Kate & Nathan! Thank you for trusting me to capture your incredible day – it was truly unforgettable.
